Is there specific clothing and/or shoes needed (what should my child wear to class)?

Great question!!! Yes, depending on the class, there may be certain dress and/or shoe requirements.

For EVERY class, you must have appropriate SHOES for that style of dance - for example, jazz shoes, ballet shoes, tap shoes. No regular shoes allowed on the dance floor. Should you forget your shoes, you will not be able to participate in class.

Ballet & Pointe:

  • Girls: Pink, black or tan tights, footed or convertible style. If you are doing pointe work, you will want convertible tights. This will make it easier to put on toe pads if you put them inside your tights. A comfortable, solid-color leotard. A sheer wrap skirt or booty shorts over leotard is acceptable.

  • Boys: Wear supportive underwear or a dance belt (a kind of smooth jock-strap) under your tights. Black fitted shorts instead of full-length tights are ok. Wear a fitted, white t-shirt (make sure that it is form-fitting). Wear white crew or ankle socks. Use black ballet shoes (ballet shoes come in leather or canvas).

The Power Kids: Black, slip-on jazz shoes are used during rehearsal and performances.

Zumba: Any comfortable, supportive, non-marking gym or dance shoe is acceptable, and please bring a mat for warmup and cooldown stretching.

Also, NO JEANS allowed in any dance class.

Is there a new student registration fee?

Yes, all students need to pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $25 before they can begin enrolling in any classes or lessons.

What happens if I need to miss a class or lesson?

In order to reschedule a PRIVATE LESSON, you must let your instructor know 48 hours in advance. If you miss a GROUP CLASS, no credits will be given. Credit only offered if a group class is cancelled by the instructor.

Do you offer trial classes and/or lessons?

Yes, you can try a new class or private lesson, one time, for only $10. Please call the office or visit the front desk for more information.

Do you offer family discounts?

Yes. Will now be offering Family Discounts! First member pays full price and every sibling thereafter will get $5 off their monthly fee. (Please note, The Power Kids and private lessons are not included in family discounts).

Do I pay for classes monthly or by session?

All group classes will be priced per month, with payment due by the 1st of each month.

What is the fee for returned checks or non-sufficient funds?

There is a $25 fee for returned checks or non-sufficient funds.

What if I want to enroll in a class AFTER the semester has already begun?

If space allows, classes can be joined mid-course and prorated.

Do I just drop off my kid and come back when they are done?

We have a spacious waiting room for parents/siblings to come and stay while your child is in class. You will be able to watch your child on a monitor from the waiting room as well.

Is there wheelchair access to the studio?

Unfortunately, no. Our front door is located on Main Street, with no wheelchair access. Students and parents must be able to get down and back up the stairs.
